Pennsauken Diagnostic Center’s Open MRI Helps Identify Auto Injuries
If you’ve been in an automobile accident, please seek care. Many people involved in a minor accident, such as a fender bender, may decide to just wait and see what happens. Perhaps applying ice, resting and/or taking over-the-counter pain medication (which may mask symptoms), may be utilized in an attempt to seek relief.
The hours and days that follow an accident may not reveal all injuries sustained, especially with the rush of adrenaline often produced after the accident. Some injuries may take months to manifest. While broken bones are easily identified with x-rays, many people sustain injuries to their spine, muscles, joints and/or tendons without a fracture. An MRI generates detailed images of soft tissues within the body. It is an excellent diagnostic tool to identify and evaluate injuries sustained, which may include the following symptoms and conditions:
Torn Muscle (shoulder rotator cuff tear)
Numbness (arms, hand)
Medical Imaging can quickly and accurately identify your injuries… do not let them go undiagnosed. The sooner injuries are identified, the sooner you can receive proper treatment and start the healing process. In addition, documenting your injuries is vital when seeking compensation.
If you have been in an automobile accident, please speak with your doctor to determine if an evaluation and/or care are necessitated. Your doctor may recommend an MRI, which is often key to treatment.
Many patients come to Pennsauken Diagnostic Center for medical imaging. We offer an Open MRI to provide the compassionate, expert care patients need and deserve.
