Different Imaging Tests Provide Different Information

Digital X-Rays provide diagnostic images and are commonly used as a starting point when evaluating many illnesses and injuries.
Open MRI uses magnetic fields, radio waves and computers to generate detailed images of soft tissues within the body. These detailed images can provide important information to help physicians make an accurate diagnosis.
Ultrasound is a non-invasive diagnostic tool that uses high-frequency sound waves to generate images of tissues and organs.
Because these imaging technologies work differently, your healthcare provider may recommend additional imaging based on the type of information needed to evaluate your condition.
The Right Imaging for Your Care
